here is the second post I dedicate to this series of portraits which for me is still going strong: please take a look at the first post too if you have missed it. February is almost over and I am hoping March will bring many of these portrait sessions and photowalks with a lot of sunshine!

last week inside the greenhouse of Talvipuutarha I took a series of portraits of my dear friend Masha which I am particularly happy about: she was wonderfully photogenic and my Petzval did a fantastic job! today I am very proud to finally present to you a first selection of photographs from the series.

hiking in nuuksio II.

I wish today was as sunny as it was last week in Nuuksio! why sunny days have to be so rare during the winter? I have chosen a couple of photos I took with the wonderful lens that Jacopo gifted me for my birthday: the Tokina 16-28mm f/2.8 has completely changed my perspective. I had never owned such a wide angle lens and I cannot wait to shoot some wild open spaces with it!

not only the Tokina is my first wide angle lens but it is also my first zoom lens: I took the first photo at 16mm and the second at 28mm. my perspective on the world has suddenly become much wider!

hiking in nuuksio.

I have been so busy these past few weeks that I did not have time to take out my camera as much as I wanted to. the days are finally getting longer though and I hope that will give me the chance to be outdoors more often! last Sunday Jacopo and I took a much needed break and went for a short but very refreshing hike in Nuuksio National Park along the Punarinnankierros.

that day I finally had the chance to try the super wide angle lens that Jacopo gave me for my birthday over a month ago: I will share a couple of photographs I took with it in my next post.
